University of Pennsylvania
Penn Law
Building
Philadelphia, PA - USA
Healy
Long & Jevin has a long history of building for the University of
Pennsylvania…most recently completing the School of Music Building. This
new project consist of a new three-story 40,000 SF addition that will
promote the collegial and
collaborative environment that supports the educational mission of Penn Law. A
key architectural goal for the complex is to enhance existing interactions and
facilitate new ones between and among faculty, students and staff. The new
building will be respectful of the existing facility, particularly historic
Silverman Hall, and of the interior Courtyard. The new wing also will celebrate
the presence of the Law School in its urban setting and symbolize Penn's
commitment to the community.
Healy
Long & Jevin, Inc will be teaming up with
Torrado Construction
Company and will be working directly for the
Hunter Roberts Construction
Group. Demolition of the existing building will begin in May with
construction of the foundations beginning in late summer 2010.
